Summer Hols...

I'm not gonna lie to y'all I'm a little pissed. While everyone is off on their holidays or even just talking about the amazing places they are gonna go; Ayia Napa, Egypt, Majorca & America I'm looking at you!; I'm stuck in England. And let me tell ya, what with the forever changing, confusing weather; sun one day, serious rain the next; and always missing the sunny days while I'm at work. Plus when it is sunny on my day off and having no-one to appreciate the weather with, I'm seriously bummed out. The only thing that's cheering me up right now is the promise of payday on Friday! Finally. I could really do with some money. Plus I finally made supervisor at work, and sure its only for a couple of months but hey experience right? Here's what I'm thinking, come payday I need some serious treats. Whenever I  can't splash cash on myself though I always end up buying D some stuff that he really doesn't need. I can't help it! I think its a mixture of a) I just cannot hold onto money & b) i like to spoil him! 

Seriously though, I have a problem. Does anyone else do this? Get in touch, I'd love to hear what stuff y'all spend (or should that be waste) your paycheck on!

Here's a little secret about me...I love musicals and musical TV shows. 
Chicago. Hairspray. Beauty & The Beast. Calamity Jane.The Little Mermaid. Enchanted. Grease. The Lion King. Glee. Smash.


I like them all. Its not that I want to be preforming on them, although lets be honest we all dream of it sometimes. To be up on stage or on TV singing a happy little song about being 'Under The Sea' or a song about murder; He Had It Coming or even just a popular song that we love; Firework. Since here in England, Glee has just ended, right now I'm all about the latest US musical export; SMASH; the songs, the story, the actors are all awesome. What I love about it is it combines my love for a guilty musical pleasure with drama and a brilliant story of Marilyn. As in Monroe. The musical is telling the story of Marilyn Monroe while the show is about two aspiring stars, including Katherine McPhee if you don't know who this is...look her up. This show is a serious guilty pleasure and I love it! Watch the show and tell me what you think of it! Katherine McPhee's version of Florence & The Machine's Shake It Off, is just wonderful.

Hey y'all, 
I'm sorry its been so long. I really need to get better at this blog thing don't I. 


Whats been happening with me? Well firstly I had my birthday and obviously I was busy for most of may. This month I've had visitors staying with us from Jacksonville, Florida. Although they spent the whole sick while they were here, it was lovely to catch up and see them. Having them here meant we spent a lot of time talking about family. It got me thinking that really family is a strange thing. There's people in your family that you never even see. Its funny how you can go through your whole life not even knowing people in your own family. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but what if it does? 


As an adult you get to make your own decisions about who you chose to see and who you don't. But as a child you do what your parents tell you. Mostly its for the best. Sometimes you wonder if you should be allowed to see people they tell you, you don't want to see. As a kid I certainly thought I knew best and that I knew exactly what I wanted, but I have to tell ya. I'm glad my parents brought me up the way that they did and protected me as fiercely as they did. 


Thanks to them I am a strong young woman, who knows what she wants and also how to get it. I fight for those I love and I will always trust my instincts. I thank them for bringing me up this way and for protecting me from people and things that I didn't need in my life.

Right now in England; Suffolk; we are having some seriously douchey weather! One minute its hot and the next its freezing cold and raining, for a country that's in a drought we have had a whole lotta rain! Its so contrary that I never know what to wear! I'm honestly hoping it picks up for my birthday next week! I was thinking about it and I suddenly thought what better why to update a look and keep warm than a cool colour pop blazer! Here's a little run down of the best places to pick up one and keep your looks fresh and warm! 


H&M-some seriously cool blues and hot pinks! 
River Island-Amazing prints, and some lovely long line styles.
Next-for the more classy, tailored but still pretty colours and prints.
Dorothy Perkins-some really gorgeous shapes and colours. Brights, pastels and two-tone numbers.

5 fashion moments I would put into room 101....

The other night I was watching Room 101 and it got me thinking; what would I put into room 101? But while you might be thinking things like; spitting, rude people, etc; I'm thinking Fashion Moments in the last few years.The ones that make you go why the hell did you go out like that?! And who in the world let you?! So heres my 5;

1. Leather Thigh High Boots- just hideous. They look tacky, cheap and honestly more than a little slutty. Even the most clean cut celeb could wear them and look like a whore off the street.

2. Crocs-especially when worn, in public with socks! I mean who does that?! It looks bloody awful. Do you have  no dignity?!

3. Leggings worn with too short tops- leggings should always be worn with long tops to cover your bum. I mean who wants to see the outline of your pants (or your actual pants in some cases) or worse your icky camel toe. No-one! So cover up!

4. Top to toe animal print- Now I love a little bit of animal print as much as the next girl. Thats a little. One thing I cannot stand is top to toe animal print. I saw a girl yesterday wearing leopard print leggings and leopard print pumps. No! Just awful. Top to toe is even worse!

5. Men that wear jeans under their bums- its not big or clever. Everytime I see it all I wanna do is pull them up! I don't even get why this is fashionable. It just looks ridiculous!

Please feel free to tell me your fashion moments that belong in room 101, whether they have happened to you, or others. Theres so many, I'll bet we could have a top 100 in no time!

where have i been...

so sorry y'all, 
                        I know that I haven't posted in a long time. There's no excuse. Other than I just had an awesome holiday! Centre Parcs, Sherwood Forest I salute you. Thank you for giving me a fun time, filled with swimming, badminton, food and family. Also thank you family :)  The pools at centre parcs are amazing too. We had the most fun on a large raft ride, especially with my little cousins. I had a lot of time for that ride. 

Work this week has been mental too. Its good thing that I love shoes, otherwise I don't know how I would cope with it all. 
Finally got a couple of days off, I know what I'ma do! Chill out.

This is the stuff that makes me, me. The lipstick I always wear. My favourite type of music and artists. My style. And reading, fashion magazines, the hunger games books. For the record; the movie...not as great as the books. seriously recomend reading them! Of course, things I left out; family. My amazing sister, A, who really is a freak. She makes me smile and her happiness is mine. She's the total opposite of me, but thats okay because, who wants a complete copy. It would be boring right?! My wonderful parents, without whom I wouldn't be this way. And my perfect boyfriend. Perfect you ask? well no, but I think perfection is learning to love the imperfections and seeing them as part of the person you adore. D, you are the best I could've asked for and more. He is my world. He makes me a better person. He pushes me to do things to help myself and I love him.


Well thats me. of course, there's more to me than just makeup, music, clothes, and material things but I am a girl after all. They matter too.
